Job Description – Associate Analyst :

This role leads the Business Office team, overseeing key operational functions including Network Operation Control (NOC) Facilities, Resource Planning, Staffing modeling, Control Audit, and Employee Dependability. As the cross-functional employees within the Business Office, this role is responsible for ensuring that internal processes run efficiently, accurately, and in alignment with company standards. The role also supports stations with essential ad-hoc assignments as needed, contributing to operational efficiency and risk mitigation across the stations. Success in this position requires strong organizational skills, an operational mindset, and a commitment to supporting business needs across multiple departments.

  • Lead and manage the Business Office team responsible for Resource Planning, Staffing Modeling and Employee Dependability including analyses/reporting, control audits, & journal entry
  • Oversees integrated business functions including labor resource planning and employee dependability, ensuring accuracy, compliance, and operational continuity.
  • Acts as a central liaison between Business Office operations and cross-functional stakeholders to resolve issues and support business needs.
  • Drive continuous improvement through process evaluation and implementation of best practices.
  • Ensure compliance with company policies, procedures, and regulations across all business office functions.
  • Management of direct reports/dotted line reports, comms, reviews, knowledge skills and abilities sharing/development, coaching, etc.
  • Develop, implement, and maintain standardized process to ensure consistency and accuracy
  • Analyze trends in staffing utilization, overtime, and shift coverage to identify optimization and process improvement opportunities.
  • Maintain, enhance and otherwise support the models for the staffing forecast and ensure they continue to stay valuable and relevant 
  • Collaborate with stakeholders (both frontline and executive-level) to identify processes strategies, or decisions that can be improved by leveraging analytic insight 
  • Monitor forecasting model performance metrics and identify operational and financial improvement opportunities 
  • Continuous improvement of the forecasting tools 
United Airlines Careers 2025 – Education and Skills :
  • Bachelor’s degree 
  • Fresh college graduate with no-prior work experience
  • Proved ability to develop machine learning models 
  • Programming experience in a scripting language such as Python 
  • Staffing Resources, Forecast Modeling, Staffing Dependability, or related area of study
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office primarily Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook, and Word
  • Ability to analyze and report out on data.
  • Strong and positive communication skills.
  • Detail oriented.
  • Reliable, punctual attendance is a crucial function of the position.
